Are you a woman who has a cool idea for a website or mobile app but no idea how to make it a reality?
Do you have an idea for a tech-based business but don’t have a tech background?
Are you overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information out there on “learning to code”?
Have you heard the hype about using AI to do the coding for you but not sure how to make that
happen?
Have code jocks and code bros put you off learning about tech?
Do you not want to have to give all your money to someone to patronize you about what they know
that you don’t?
Are you not in a position to drop everything and do a 6 month coding “bootcamp”?
How does this sound instead?
A small group class of women only, where we’ll start from scratch and go step by step through:
- How to choose and register a domain name
- How to decide if you can use a drag-and-drop site builder, or if you want/need something more advanced
Then we’ll break off into separate paths:
- Basic website
- Simple mobile app or game
- More complex web app (works on computer or phone) with a community of users
Whichever path you choose, you’ll finish the program with at least a basic working site/application, and maybe more. You’ll have learned to add pages or screens, and can move your idea forward from there based on early user feedback. I have decades of experience making websites and web apps of various levels of complexity, and would love to help you learn:
- Basic concepts of structuring a site/app
- Basic coding and database concepts
- How to use FREE versions of AI models to help you with code, data scraping, analysis
- Resources for email list sign ups, email creation and sending, etc.
Depending which track you choose, we’ll look at tools like WordPress, HTML, Flutter, Godot, Laravel,
MySQL, Shopify, Stripe and more.
You’ll get practice, support and instant feedback from your fellow builders.
